From artwork to icon.Askil – GOS Edition is a special interpretation of Jacob Gaasedal’s original artwork, created exclusively for the GOS Gallery Wearable Art collection.In this edition, Askil steps beyond the boundaries of the original canvas. The distinctive golden lion is separated from its painted background and transformed into a standalone graphic expression created specifically for clothing. The powerful gaze, golden tones and expressive lines of the original lion remain at the heart of the design. Without the surrounding canvas, Askil takes on a new identity – somewhere between original art, graphic design and a visual symbol of GOS Gallery. The back features the isolated Askil lion together with the artwork title, artist credit and GOS Gallery signature, creating a direct connection between the wearable design and Jacob Gaasedal’s original painting.Askil – GOS Edition is available exclusively in black. The colour has been deliberately chosen to emphasise Askil’s golden expression and create the strongest possible contrast between the artwork and the garment. The deep black fabric allows the warm golden tones and expressive character of the lion to become the unmistakable focal point of the design.
